We are anchored out.  Left Genoa Bay at 10:50 & arrived at 1pm.

Baker.  He also said the sunsets are beautiful there.

Tonight we had ribs & a salad.  We will spend one more night here.

Once we got in (around noon) we plugged in & got settled.

Greg Finch came over & visited for awhile in his row boat.  After Greg left we went to the store to buy a few things.

We invited the Finches & Galbraiths to come over for dinner on our boat.  They came over around 5:30ish.  Jon made lemon drops & we all enjoyed those.  Eventually Debbie & I had some white wine.  Then Galbraith's brought 3 bottles of wine with them.

We had spaghetti & meatballs with spaghetti sauce & grated Parmigiano/Reggiano cheese.  It was delicious.  Vanessa made a great salad with red & orange beets & spinach.  Then Debbie brought various chocolate bars for dessert.  All was yummy.

They finally left around 10:30.  The Galbraith's brought their dingy & towed Greg & Vanessa back in their row boat.

Aug. 23rd - SYC Ovens Island outstation

Today we left Garden Bay at 8am & arrived at Ovens at 1:45pm.

We crossed the Georgia Straits & hobby horsed most of the way.  Water was spraying all over the boat - 3 to 4 feet high waves & winds were 18-22 knots.  I was so tired of the spraying & winds.  Shadow was crying & finally went under the tv on the shelf.  He was not happy.

There was one other boat when we got here & 1 other came in.  Their dog was on the boat at Henry Island and chewed through their screens as he was not happy about being left alone.

Tonight we had steak and cole slaw.  We both had drinks.  I had wine and Rod had Hendricks.

Aug. 22nd - SYC Garden Bay Outstation

Today we went to Laverne's for lunch with the couple on Flying Colors (another Fleming).  Rod & I both had fish & chips and I had a chocolate milkshake & Rod had a vanilla one.  They make the best milkshakes - the old fashioned way!

They brought their dog so we joined them outside after we finished eating.  The sunset tonight was amazing.  Rod took pictures so I'm sure they'll end up on the blog.

Tonight we had hamburgers with onions & lettuce & buns.  They were very good.

We left Taku at 9:10 & arrived at Cortez at 11:10.  The boat really hobby horsed across - Rod says it was mild.

After we got here, Marcia & Jon Walther arrived right after us on Desert Sun.  We're going to get together with them tomorrow for happy hour on our boat.  When Rod was getting ready to barbecue, someone came over to say that they were doing an inpromptu get together as someone was here who was running for the board.  Rod went, I didn't.

Tonight we had steak, potatoes & salad.  I had wine & Rod had scotch.  Then we got 4 cookies from Barbara.  We ordered 4 scones, faccacio bread & wheat bread which she'll deliver tomorrow.  Today was the farmers market so she was out of most everything.
