Day 1 - 7/2: Reid Harbor

We left Shelter Bay about 11:30 & arrived at Reid at 4:15pm, after anchoring.  Tonight we are having pulled pork for dinner with barbecue sauce.  Trying to loose a little weight so there may be no alcohol tonight.  Tomorrow we'll pass through Customs with our Nexus cards & most likely will not have to stop at the Customs dock.  We usually leave early so we don't have to stop, just hover.  

Shadow (our cat) has adapted to boat life already!  He's been out 3 times.  Our Aussie couple that stayed with us for 3 weeks, Colette, made a small quilt for the cat & a big one for us!  We did a lot of things with them - went boating, went over the North Cascades Highway & had lunch in Winthrop & also went to Seattle for some touring.  They left on Friday & we got back to La Conner about 4:30.  Then washed the kayaks & put all the food on the new boat - a 55' Fleming.
