July 4th - SYC Garden Bay

I forgot to blog yesterday.  We put our dinghy down & went to Madiera Park to buy groceries & liquor.  First we had lunch at a burger stand - I had a BLT, Rod had a hamburger & we shared an order of fries.  I don't have a lot of room in the frig so we only bought a few things - strawberries, onion, potatoes, 2 salads, limes & some garlic butter that we bought last year too.  Liquor was 2 bottles of vodka, Hendricks, scotch & tequila to make margaritas.

Last night we did a Ropeyarn for cocktails and appetizers.  There were only 8 of us (4 boats).  And that ended up being our dinner.  One of our friends organized it & wanted a July 4th theme - she actually wore some leggings that were red, white & blue.  Then we watched the Seattle fireworks which were beautiful.

Two boats left this morning & another is about to go, so we will be the only one left.  We'll see who else will come in today!  

I forgot to mention yesterday that we let Shadow out for about 3 hours - he was everywhere around the boat, mostly lying by us on occasion.  However then I went looking for him & found him on the dock - he did let me pick him up.  Then he did the same thing when Rod let him out in the morning - on the dock again.  So then he was confined to the inside 🙀
