July 8th - SYC Cortez

We came up to Cortez today - we left at 8am & arrived at 12:45.  There are 9 boats here tonight.  We're right next to Systole who are great friends of ours - so nice to see them again.  

We had a chance to visit with Marv Mielnichuk, who is the outstation manager - haven't seen his wife, Heather Brown, yet.  We really like this outstation.  

We had a salad tonight & I've been trying different drinks - I started with vodka & orange juice which is now gone & today I tried vodka with Paul Newman's lemonade.  We also bought 4 cookies & 2 brownies from Barbara Buffington, the baker.  She does an awesome job!  

I think we'll be here a few days as well.
