Aug. 7th - North Island Marina

Today we went by ferry to Sointula to visit Tim Motchman, the carver who has made many things for us & a crab for Heather which was a gift to her.  He picked us up at the ferry & took us back.  We visited his shops & also sat for a very long time in his beautiful garden.  He is responsible for all of the vegetables & his wife, Sheila, does the flowers.  We just commissioned another piece for the boat - he said it would take him a year to make it as he has many projects going - mostly commissioned.  

Tonight we are having pork with barbecue sauce & quinoa with brown rice & garlic.  Some people next to us in a small boat just gave us some salmon which they caught today - how lucky are we 😍. Tomorrow will be salmon.
